Pwoje nou yo / Our Projects

Gade anba pou we ki kalite aktivite Fondasyon Ginen ap fe nan zon Sen Rafayel.

Look below for more information on the kinds of activities Fondasyon Ginen is undertaking in the St Raphael area:

Planting a small forest

Le nou te achte te pou Pak la, li te vid. Kounye a, genyen plizye sentenn pye bwa ki ap grandi sou li. Nou ap kreye pwop ti fore pa nou. Nou  bay chak pye bwa yon non pou yon moun ki travay pou chanjman pozitif nan mond lan - konsa, fore a tou vin tankou yon mize pou moun edike tet yo.

When we bought the land for the Park, it was empty. Today, there are hundreds of trees growing on the land. We are creating our own small forest. Each tree is named after someone who has worked for positive change in the world, which turns our forest into a sort of living museum dedicated to social change.

Tree nursery & environmental education

Pak Nan Ginen tou genyen yon pepinye ki ap grandi anpil nouvo ti pye bwa. Nou distribiye pye bwa yo nan kominote a, e nou fe edikasyon sou kijan pou byen pwoteje anviwonman an.

Pak nan Ginen has a nursery in which it grows trees from seeds and cuttings into young trees. We distribute trees in the community, and educate our neighbors on how to better protect the environment.

Community service and engagement

Pak Nan Ginen se yon espas ki ouvri pou tout moun nan zon nan. Li genyen yon choukoun kote anpil gwoupman fe reyinyon - kiltivate, fanm ki nan mikro-finans, elatriye. Li se espas kote moun yo fe fomasyon ak evenman nan zon nan. E li genyen yon ti espas ki poko genyen pye bwa kote timoun  nan jwe foutbal.

Pak Nan Ginen is a space that is open to everyone in the area. It has a choukoun (traditional covered structure) where many groups have meetings - farmers, women in microfinance groups, etc. It is a place where these groups also have trainings and community events. There is also a small space that doesn't yet have trees where local children play soccer.
